Sleeping Koala

Today I went shopping at Sleeping Koala and found this lovely dress!  I’m wearing the all non-mesh version, but there is a partial mesh version in the folder for those who’d like to use it.  I absolutely love the color combination in the bodice of the dress and found it easy to accessorize with things already in my inventory. 🙂

I’m wearing a fun hairstyle from Truth called Cate that I’ve had for a while but never worn.  It looks so cute with the dress I think . 🙂  I added jewelry from je suis and Maylo Designs in lovely shades of turquoise.  The skin is the current group gift from WoW Skins and eyes are from the wonderful Horizon Eyes collection offered by IKON.

I found lovely landscaping around the Sleeping Koala shop offered the perfect backdrop for photographing the outfit.

Color Challenge Week 25 – UnMellow Yellow

For this week’s Color Challenge, I went inventory diving.  A search for “yellow” yielded this wonderful strapless top from blah Blah blah that I had picked up in The Fresh Unknown Hunt a couple of months ago.  The pants are from Piccara and I just adore the animal print.  The lovely scarf belt is from LeeZu. 

The hair I’m showing is a gorgeous non-mesh style from D!va and the skin is the current group gift from WoW Skins.  WoW Skin group costs $150 to join, but the gifts make it so worthwhile.  To complete the look, I chose a sunny necklace from Izzie’s and a pair of Izzie’s 70’s style sunglasses to mellow out the unmellow yellow color challenge a bit.  🙂

I’ve been searching for an online solution to crop my photos because I’m just not a Photoshop girl, although I am trying valiantly to learn and am progressing…. slowly, lol.  I decided to give PicMonkey.com a whirl and WOW… it is perfect for me!  I cropped the photo and darkened the edges slightly.  The tools are so easy to use and I highly recommend it to anyone who finds PS overwhelming at times. 🙂

The Thirty Linden Makeover

As I was out looking for pink hairbrushes in the Skins and Hairs Hunt, I found a few freebies and $10L items that I simply could not pass up.  Each prize in the Skins and Hairs Hunt costs $10L to buy.  The Puk hair in black is a SAHH prize from Mina ($10L).  My skin is a SAHH prize from WoW Skins and was also $10L. 



While I was searching for the pink hairbrush at Dulce Secrets, I found an instore hunt with 25 prizes was in progress and the prizes were free.  So…… of course I began looking for the little magnifying glasses scattered throughout the store.  I’m wearing Prize #8, Frosted Eyes, a collection of 12 different eye colors.  The jeans I found at VMC as part of an outfit that was on sale for $10L.  The pink sweater was a free gift from Happy and the jewelry was a free gift from Lemur.  The mesh boots are a free group gift from CoCo that I blogged in an earlier post.

The grand total for my outfit, including skin and hair is $30L. 🙂
